Every year, hospitals across South Africa mark World Prematurity Day — a moment to recognise the resilience of premature babies, their families, and the neonatal teams who care for them. In November 2024, Nappy Bag Initiative was proud to sponsor the World Prematurity Day event held at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital’s Nursery.
Shortly after the event, the hospital’s Prem. Day Committee sent a letter of thanks, recognising the role that community sponsorship plays in supporting neonatal patients and the mothers caring for them.
